Trevor N. Nolan was born September 1, 1991 (Memphis, TN), into a world definitely not ready for the life purposed for him. As a child, Trevor was brought up in a single parent home with his mother, from living in the projects (Cleaborn Holmes) to a foreclosed home, to transitional housing and now to HOME. Trevor is a veteran when it comes to the Church of God in Christ, Inc., (4th Generation) and especially Sunday School 15+ years straight unless he was admitted to the hospital, per his mother (Sunday School Superintendent).  As a child, Trevor was always recognized as an Ambassador even after having to repeat the 2nd grade over because of one beloved teacher who saw something in him that need enhancement. He was so brilliant to where he was awarded a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition by Harold Ford, Jr. (2006). In Middle School, Trevor Nolan was the only 7th Grade students to travel and go on trips with 8th Grade students because of his learning skills and advancement in education. When Trevor got to High School (Middle College High School), he was the only 9th grade student taking courses with 11th/12th graders (Algebra II and Anatomy and Physiology).

 

While in High School, Trevor lost his grandmother, whom he was named after, and the late Presiding Bishop Gilbert Earl Patterson, who was a close family friend and mentor. These are persons whom he has watched and learned much from far and near to be who he is today. Stepping out of the comfort zone, Trevor established an outreach organization called, Etiquette Youth Ministries serving youth and families of all kindred’s. In May 2010, Trevor graduates from High School with over 44 hours of College Credits going into Undergrad. Immediately going into Undergrad, Trevor was feature in the Beacon Magazine (Fall 2010, Page 9) of LeMoyne-Owen College and also nominated for the National Jefferson Awards for Public Service. At the age of 17 year old, Trevor served the IYD Southern Region as an official.

While in Undergrad (Lane College), Trevor’s father was attacked with numerous of strokes and heart attacks. To this day the doctors are yet to tell us how many that is. This event changed the lives of his entire family. From coming home and back to school every other week assisting my mother with my family was truly a lot to handle and completing assignments for class. Trevor was honored by the President of Lane College for Outstanding Leadership as a Student in 2014. Trevor was recognized for his outstanding skills in academia, studying both Macro & Micro Economics at the same time and passing both with flying colors. After completing undergrad, it didn’t hit Trevor until later that he would be the first to graduate from college in my family, obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration – April 2014. 2016, he proceed going to Arkansas State University majoring in Public Administration.

Trevor Nolan is known as a prayer warrior, man of charisma, intelligence, loyal member in ministry, a leaders leader, prophetic minister of the Gospel. His favorite scripture is Acts 4:12, “Neither is there salvation in any other for there is none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved.” His ultimate goal is to see everyone Succeed in life especially the youth and young adults of today by creating the platform so they make spread their wings in the areas of ministry in which they are called.

Trevor has served and yet being faithful in many capacities. At his local assembly, Victory In Praise COGIC, he has been a faithful member for 22 years, served Jr. Usher for 5 year, Drummer for 21 years, has accepted his calling into ministry in 2007 and serves as a finance officer. He served Tree of Life District as the Head Drummer, a Choir Member, and currently serves as Assistant District Secretary, Finance Officer and District Youth President. In TN Headquarters Jurisdiction he served as an adjutant brother/levite, AIM Steering Committee Member (under the leadership of the late Bishop J.O. Patterson, Jr. and former AIM Chairman, Dr. Orlester Johnson), Assistant Director, Scholastic Motivation Ministries and Executive Member of Youth Department. Also the Regional and National level of the Church of God in Christ, Inc., Trevor has served as IYD Southern Region YMV Director (2010-2011), IYD Southern Region Public Relations Director (2011-2015), now serves along with AIM PR/Marketing Team and COGIC National Task Force Team.

 

February 2019, Trevor was appointed to the office of Jurisdictional Youth President for Tennessee Headquarters Jurisdiction under the leadership of Bishop David Allen Hall, Sr. (now COGIC General Board Member) and rapidly bringing change and growth to the local assemblies within the jurisdiction. October 2020, Trevor Nolan was ordained Elder in the Church of God in Christ, Inc.
